When loaded into the open source VST Synthesizer “Dexed” –and level matched to my Hardware DX7 - the sound is perfect. When I obtained an original Yamaha DX7 I exported all the original stock DX7 patches as SysEx.

I located “Solid Bass” SysEx patches people posted online, and it all lacked transient clarity, and phat bottom end. It was a stock patch on the DX7 called “Solid Bass”. SOLID BASS – Love this bass patch in the mid / bass registers, also a famous techno patch from Orbitalįor awhile I sought the phat punchy low-end, authentic DX7 bass sound from the Orbital song “Halcyon On & On”. Grinder 6Y – Love this patch in the bass registers, also some famous techno patch I think Reminds me of the 90’s, breakbeat, techno, and modern dubstep. *PPG*Vol.4 – If this is as good as a replication of the PPG, as the Moog Rogue patch, then, PPG’s sound like crap 🙂īIGBADBASS – Awesome bass.
